Anavsan - Snowflake Credit & Performance Monitoring is a Snowflake Native App that provides secure, read-only visibility into Snowflake credit usage, warehouse behavior, query performance, and storage growth.

Anavsan analyzes Snowflake metadata to show where credits are consumed, why inefficiencies occur, and provide advisory recommendations to improve efficiency and performance. Dashboards highlight top warehouses, query impact, storage trends, and actionable insights to help teams collaboratively improve Snowflake spend.

The app runs entirely inside your Snowflake account with metadata-only, read-only access - no data is exported, no agents deployed, and no environment modifications are made.

Get Started​

  1. Log in to Snowflake.
  2. Navigate to Data Products → Marketplace.
  3. Search for Anavsan - Snowflake Credit & Performance Monitoring.
  4. Click Get to install the Native App into your account.

Initial Setup​

  1. From an ACCOUNTADMIN role, grant required permissions:
GRANT IMPORTED PRIVILEGES ON DATABASE SNOWFLAKE TO APPLICATION ANAVSAN;

This grants read-only access to Snowflake system views used for analysis. Open the app to explore insights - no additional configuration is required.

  1. In the Options panel, enter a name for your application.
  • Default: Anavsan_Snowflake_CPM
  • You may customize it if needed.
  1. Select the warehouse to use for installation.
  2. Click Get to begin installation.
  3. Follow any in-app prompts to complete setup and ensure metadata access is granted.

Data Scope & Disclaimer​

Anavsan - Snowflake Credit & Performance Monitoring operates with read-only, metadata-only access to Snowflake system views such as ACCOUNT_USAGE and related usage tables.

The app does not modify data, execute optimizations, resize warehouses, suspend objects, or change configuration settings. All insights, credit metrics, and recommendations are advisory and based on estimated usage patterns.

Actual credit consumption may vary depending on workload behavior and account configuration. Users should validate recommendations before applying changes in their environment.
